November 27 2013 Chicago's Art Institute
Jill and I took the four grandkids downtown yesterday. We went to the Art Institute to see the Christmas decorations on the Thorne Miniature rooms http://www.artic.edu/exhibition/holiday-thorne-rooms-1 and the 18th century Neapolitan Creche http://www.artic.edu/exhibition/neapolitan-cr-che-holiday-gift-city
We also saw Santa and ate lunch under the Great Tree at Macy's. Last we saw the Macy's Christmas Windows and walked over to the ChristKindl market in Daley Plaza.
What a great day.

Sounds great, as you describe it. One need never be at a loss for something to see and do in Chicago.
Nice shot ot the grandchildren. Must have been a fun day - so wonderful that your grandchildren are near enough that you can do that.
