The Long Road Ahead
Headed down to Island Hill, just outside my childhood home-town of Comber, Northern Ireland. Mind really wasn't on photography, given the situation with my dad, but it felt nice to get some wind and rain on my face. I think this picture depicts my mood at the moment quite well. I sometimes feel like running ... running as fast as my legs will carry me, far far away. Reality though hits home and I realise, like every one else in our family that dad needs all of us close and together if we are to help him through this very difficult time. So instead of running I cried and kinda shook my fist at life, which while beautiful and wonderful on one hand can also be a cruel bitch at others.
