House destroyed by fire in Coram Saturday, August 30, 2014. A fast moving fire gutted a two-story house on Howard Drive this afternoon at approx. 4:15 p.m. The fire broke out while the family was at home and officials on the scene said the occupants were able to safely evacuate without injury. Coram F.D. Chief Tim Timms was in charge of the scene. The cause of the fire was not known at this time and an investigation is continuing.
