20 Mar 17 The last several days have been nothing but rain (the water is running at roughly 15gpm down the culverts alongside our road), and we have more forecast for the next several days, so getting a break in the weather for Sunday we decided to make the most of it and go for a drive after church just to get out. Our first stop was in Silverdale on an errand and as we approached our destination the Olympics were putting on a show with a little help from Monday's approaching storm. So before attending to the errand I pulled into a parking lot somewhat higher than the road and took a couple of shots. The clouds were affecting the light as well as putting on their own show, so the combination made for a lovely scene along with a bit of ground fog popping up behind the evergreens adding some additional interest. We really couldn't have asked for a more lovely day.
I've cropped the original a small amount from the top, cleaned up a couple of dust spots, and slightly enhanced the mountain to give it a better definition. Nikon D300s; 18 - 200; Aperture Priority; ISO 200; 1/640 sec @ f /10.
