Habitat Sculpture - Jericho Beach Vancouver - Sept.20.2014
One of my favorite hidden photo-gems in Vancouver - The Habitat Sculpture created for the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements Habit Forum. A two week long gathering that was held at Jericho Beach from May 31st to June 11th 1976. The sculpture itself, now the only remnant of the gathering, is located just off Jericho Beach in Vancouver's West Point Grey neighborhood.
For those interested in finding this beautifully weathered sculpture and who are up for sharing the photo-space with the people friendly black rabbits that live in and under the surrounding bushes it's very accessible with parking just a few meters away. Make sure to bring carrots. :)
