Here’s one of the Snowy Egrets ready to strike.  I’ve never noticed the dark area on the underside of their wings before; perhaps it’s just on this particular bird.

Snowy Owl Pellets were abundant at most all perching sites along  Boundary Bay, evidence that the birds were eating well, However we did come across 3 Snowy Owl carcasses from owls that perished. The Owls mainstay of food was shorebirds and waterfowl along the slat marshes of Boundary Bay!
