Winter arrives in a fury of wind and cold and snow, forms fade and reappear; I revel in its elemental power. This is a drive pan, taken from the NY Throughway near dusk on the solstice as we passed through the Montezuma National Wildlife Reserve near Rochester, NY, converted to B&W, and edited for color tones. For example, reducing blue helped darken portions of the image, creating a more emotional response. I am listening to Freeman Patterson when he says: "Be wild!"
