I tried my hand at photographing star trails in my backyard in Canberra. Probably not idea as there's a lot of light "leaking" in from the surrounds - but it's interesting! The "light painting" in the bottom left was impromptu - but I quite like this shot.

Out at a boat dock within Bald Mountain Recreation Area in Lake Orion, MI for the Lyrid Meteor shower. I setup on this dock and took photos for 2 hours in hopes of capturing a meteor within a star trails shot. Well the moon, which was close to full that night took most of those hopes away. I still ended up with a beautiful moonlit dock scene.
