Caves of Steel #3
This place is improbable, merged in the surrounding city but so different from it, like a strange outgrowth. The interior is even more unlikely : an unexpected maze, abandoned, a shopping center, a bus station… The inner architecture is twisted and contributes to its strangeness. A maze of escalators, stairs, ramps, half-levels. All seems to have been designed to lose the explorer.
Some levels are full of life with market, shops and bus terminals. Others, even if life is there, are inhabited by a palpable strangeness, like a disturbed souk, a dark Cave of Alibaba. Finally, some levels and corridors truly give goosebumps, abandoned, desolate, apparently abandoned ; ideal places for the projection of our fears, imaginary or not.
This place is really improbable and it is the "new central bus station in Tel Aviv" . But to me, it is a transcription in reality, of what could be, the "Caves of Steel" by Isaac Asimov https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Caves_of_Steel).
