Morane-Saulnier MS-505 Criquet with registration D-EGTY in French Air Force (Armée de l'Air) livery and the De Havilland DH-82A Tiger Moth II with registration D-EFTN in Royal Air Force livery at the 2008 ILA Airshow at Berlin-Schönefeld, Germany (Deutschland). The MS-505 is the French built version of the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch German liaison aircraft. First produced in 1937, the French production line closedi in 1965. Combined the German and French factories built More than 2,900 Fi 156s, including smaller numbers produced in Romania and then Czechoslovakia. The De Havilland DH-82A Tiger Moth II two-seat primary trainer was mass-produced during World War 2, with more than 8,860 aircraft worldwide. Only the Royal Air Force alone took delivery of 4,000 of them. Although retired from military services sources estimate about 250 Tiger Moths worldwide are still flying today.
