I got coffee with Michael this morning before he helped me shoot more drone photos on campus. Back in the office, I finished compositing a crowd on a shot I took the other day. At about the same time I finished editing, Ahna and Chris showed up, which meant more coffee! Today was the first time I’ve ever felt the effects of caffeine on my body. For real. By lunch I was all wired and weird.
I compiled a bunch of footage and stills that I shot over the course of November for our little “stock show and rodeo” meeting, where we all show off our stock footage and stills from the month. Angilee wants a rough cut of the Denton video by the end of the month, which is gonna be tough. Hopefully I can at least get something together by then.
About an hour after I got home from work, I had to go back out again to shoot more stock. Some UNT sports team won a thing, and so the Talons turned on the green light at the top of the clock tower. I took the drone out and got some tasty footage of that happening, but I’m pretty sure I annoyed the hell out of some carolers who showed up in front of Willis. They were trying to sing Christmas songs, but I had to hover the drone right by them while I waited to get my shot. After I got my shot, I dropped a couple bucks in their bucket and apologized for buzzing them. They were super nice and even forced me to take a goodie bag. I guess they’re out there to help people who are out studying late feel better. The bag had water, candy, a pencil, and a little sheet of bubble wrap in it. Ha! Adorable.
Emily tried a new recipe for dinner, some Asian pork thing, and it was excellent. We’ll definitely be having that again!
