ruckus between mute swan & immature gannet-one day after Hurricane Sandy
First year Mute Swan looking very coy.

Urban Swans25 November 2012Providence, Rhode IslandThere is a small path along Water Street in Providence that leads right down to the river. I went down there planning to take a water-level photo of the Providence skyline. As soon as I reached the bank, though, these two mute swans swam right up to me and waited patiently, apparently expecting me to feed them. They were disappointed, since I had nothing to toss to them. They were very polite and patient while I took my photo, but when I started to walk back up the path they both hissed at me quite loudly. I'll need to remember their "modeling fee" next time.Post processing started with a brilliant cold filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, contrast, and protect highlights. A slight levels adjustment was added in PSE.
