While I was just starting to roam around in the Royal Botanic Gardens, it started to pour. Luckily I had just started at the south end of the gardens, right near the Art Gallery of New South Wales. I was hiding under a massive tree out front of the gallery at the start of the downpour and thought I might as well pop inside instead of getting wet and soggy. And on top of it, most sections of the gallery were free. The rooms upon rooms of artwork, both classical and modern, to exhibits with everything from Chin Dynasty pottery to Aboriginal artifacts, this gallery was beautiful. I was so caught up wandering from one room to the next that I didn't notice it had stopped raining. After grabbing a quick bite for lunch, I passed this piece of art on my way out and couldn't resist getting a shot. I just love the various random patterns of color arranged in what seems to some rhyme or reason, but probably not.
