Partial Solar Eclipse - Perth 10/05/2013 (Stills processed into into a video sequence) Created from Canon 40D still images in Microsoft Live Movie Maker I took a different approach to creating a video for this eclipse. It is not the usual equal interval sequence due to the cloud disruptions. It's is a bit long at 5 minutes, because I like the music I put it to! Telescope - Apogee OrthoStar LOMO 80/480 with Hotech SCA Field Flattener, Home made Baader Solarfilm filter, Canon 40D DSLR field 106' x 159' , Ambient ~13C. Mount - Inca camera tripod unguided.
Setup at Reabold Hill for Solar Eclipse - 10/05/2013 whilst awaiting Partial Solar Eclipse 6:53AM Sunrise was due 6:54AM. It turned out that this walkway was quite unstable and along with a cool breeze made focusing and sharp images quite a challenge. Image from Samsung Galaxy S2 phone, post processed with Adobe Photoshop CS5.
