The Autumn Crowd of Kyoto
@Kiyomizu Dera, Kyoto, Japan
Autumn would arguably be the best time of year to see Kyoto - historical temples with the warm, vibrant colors of nature as its background.
This shot was taken on one of the paths leading up to Kiyomizu Dera, one early evening. This is the kind of crowd you would encounter almost anywhere, anytime in Kyoto during this season. We went there around noon and the place was already packed! I assumed that the number would go down as it gets dark, but apparently not as the place offers a totally different kind of experience compared to going during the day. One would definitely need a lot of patience going around, but the rewards are well worth it!
