Engine 40 is stationed near US Highway 85 & Chatfield Drive, they operate this 2009 Pierce Velocity 1,500 gallon CAFS pumper with a 1500 gpm pump.

Peyton Fire Protection District just recently received delivery of a 2013 Freightliner Fire Pumper/Tender, combination apparatus. Peyton Fire is located in a community, in rural eastern El Paso County, Colorado, USA. This new truck has a large capacity water tank of 3000 gallons. This dual pump truck has a Hale 500 gallon per minute pump that allows for pump and roll capabilities, like for a grass fire. The truck has sprayer nozzles under each corner of the front bumper. The 3 crosslay compartments located above the pump panel hold two setups of 200 foot, 1 & 3/4 inch hose, and one run of 200 foot, 2 & 1/2 inch fire hose. Two port-a-tanks, one on each side, have a holding capacity of 2000 gallons each. The apparatus is equipped with supply line: 600 feet of 3 inch line for a forward lay and 600 feet of 3 inch line set up for a reverse lay. This rig is outfitted with ten Goodyear G291 Tires.
