Falcon Firefighters will be on scene through the night continuing to battle the building and hay bale remains that caught fire Thursday. The entire building and contents were relocated by a front end loader to a nearby field that had caught fire earlier in the day. Piles of flaming and smoldering debris remain to be totally extinguished. This is expected to take time and crews will be working all through the night and into Friday until the remaining debris is completely out. Fire crews did an amazing job of keeping the fire away from a nearby building filled with hay, straw, and feed. This location is on U.S. Highway 24, in Falcon, Colorado. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to one of the feed storage buildings. The main store at Big R Falcon was not damaged by fire.
