Night time, color photograph of some of the benches available to the shoppers in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Located at the edge of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is an extremely popular tourist destination, offering many shopping and dinning opportunities with the added bonus of being surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Built in the early 1800's, The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although not active in this early morning photograph of The Old Mill the giant water wheel begins turning later in the day. Taken just as the sky is beginning to lighten with the early morning sun, stars are still visible in the early morning sky.
Located within the Cherokee National Forest, the 100' Bald River Falls is an extremely accessible waterfall, in fact Bald River Falls may be viewed from your car. The photo above was taken from the bridge which crosses over Bald River. Parking is available just past the bridge when traveling from Tellico Plains Tennessee. In addition to viewing Bald River Falls from the bridge, you may also climb down on the left or right side of the falls for a close-up view. A small trail is located along the left side of the falls which travels to the top of the falls.
