The bright green nail color being modeled is being used by Sandy Hook Promise as a fund-raiser for its charitable work in the wake of 12/14. Sandy Hook residents Jennifer Stoltz and Dana Schicker contacted O*P*I to see if the company would be willing to create a special color “to help our community heal and as a way for others across the nation to connect and show their support, just by wearing the color,” according to a statement posted by the two women during the Salon-A-Thon. Ricci’s Salon & Spa, at 99 South Main Street, held a special event on Sunday, May 19: The Sandy Hook Green Salon-a-Thon. All services that were provided to customers included a bottle of Sandy Hook Green, a new, limited edition nail color created and donated by O*P*I Products, Inc. All proceeds benefited Sandy Hook Promise, a charity formed after 12/14. Among those participating at the event were, from left, Suzy DeYoung of Sandy Hook Prom-ise, and also Jennifer Stoltz, and Dana Schicker.
