"True Beauty Lies Within"

I sat outside for a while yesterday trying to capture some of the birds flying in to my streams......of course they didn't show up while I had my camera. While I was feeding my fish they were everywhere, They must "smell" the camera. LOL Anyway, I walked around the yard to look for photo ops. There is a magnolia tree at the side of my front yard and I started taking photos of the blooms. This one really caught my eye because the outer petals were brown and falling but the inside was still alive with color and beauty. We have always heard, "Don't judge a book by its cover" and "Pretty on the inside" and others like that and I thought his one was an example of the beauty within.

While I was taking photos of the blooms I saw a nest with a robin sitting in it. I have been trying to capture her hopping around my yard but haven't gotten anything worth posting. I took a few shots of her in the nest but they aren't too exciting. Now that I know where she lives, I will try to capture her when she is out of the nest playing in the yard.

WOW, I am overwhelmed with the comments on my droplet photo yesterday. I was kind of "ho-hum" about it but y'all have made me have a little more confidence about the use of my prime lens. Now the post today was taken with my 70-300 zoom where I had to get back in my comfort zone. I certainly appreciate each and every comment and critique.
