Abstract - Sycamore Bark IN7257
Finding abstracts in sycamore bark, or in the bark of many other trees, is almost too easy.
This particular shot had a wider range of colors than is typically found on this tree. Mostly you find a range of grays, tans, browns. The only thing I did to bring out the colors was to make various levels and contrast adjustments; I applied no extra saturation using that adjustment tool in Photoshop, and no color shifts. No other filters were applied to alter textural details, either. The pores that are found in sycamore bark do a pretty good job of that on their own. I did apply a very modest amount of sharpening with 'Unsharp Mask'. That's all.

I hope that some of my efforts will inspire other members of the DP community to jump in with their own abstracts. I know that there are several of you who have done, and continue to do this. The more, the merrier. It's such fun!
