Tintern Railway Station, Monmouthshire, Wales . October 25, 2013
The former GWR Wye Valley Railway station at Tintern in the Wye Valley has operated as a heritage centre for many years. In 2010 the original GWR carriage which acted as a shop has passed to the West Somerset Railway and has been replaced by two air conditioned Mark II British Railways carrraiges in GWR livery which look smart and perhaps provide an interesting what might have been - if the railways had not been nationalised in 1948.
