I. Hate. Tumblr.

I don’t make a dime off my photography, but it costs me thousands of dollars per year — buying lighting equipment, paying for models, printing photos, maintaining 16TB in redundant storage arrays, leasing webserver space and renting a studio, along with dozens of other expenses. (And that doesn't even include the tens of thousands of dollars I've spent on cameras and lenses.)

But I don’t do it for money.

Or self-aggrandizement.

I do it because I enjoy creating something no one has ever seen before, in the hope, that by doing so, I make the world a slightly more beautiful place.

It’d be nice, if, after taking the time to rip an image out of flickr’s source code, that people would at least have the human decency to post the original image’s URL... to give me a modicum of credit for all the hard work. (And crediting the model would be nice, too.)

Or better, yet -- ask me to post a watermarked copy of the image to my tumblr page and then reblog away.
