London, England Elizabeth Tower, containing the infamous 'Big Ben' (aka the great bell). Previously known simply as the Clock Tower, it was renamed in 2012 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee. The tower was part of the new Palace of Westminster - and designed by Augustus Pugin (Charles Barry designed the surrounding buildings). Completed 1858.
London, England Admiralty Arch, providing road and pedestrian access between The Mall and Trafalgar Square. Designed by Sir Aston Webb, constructed by John Mowlem & Co and completed in 1912. It adjoins the Old Admiralty Building, hence the name.
London, England Langham Place, connecting Portland Place to Regent Street in London's West End. On the left is the The BBC's Broadcasting House, with the magnificent All Souls Church on the right.
London, England The Serpentine Bridge, marking the boundary between Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Designed and built by John Rennie the Younger in about 1820, when the park was substantially redesigned.
