Elizabeth Tower, containing the infamous 'Big Ben' (aka the great bell). Previously known simply as the Clock Tower, it was renamed in 2012 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.

The tower was part of the new Palace of Westminster - and designed by Augustus Pugin (Charles Barry designed the surrounding buildings). Completed 1858.

Designed by Sir Aston Webb, constructed by John Mowlem & Co and completed in 1912. It adjoins the Old Admiralty Building, hence the name.
