Soni Kogen (曽爾高原)
The Soni Highland is famous as a prairie of Japanese pampas grass. Japanese pampas grass starts developing ears in the middle of September, and the sight of these shining silver and gold please the visitors. The 900-meter circumference of the Okame Pond located halfway up the highland, is decorated with lanterns. Visitors can enjoy the sunset, the twilight, and the mystical mountain lights and stars in the heavens at the Soni Highland.
