Her First Train Ride
April 20, 2015
This is our granddaughter Eleanor on her first train ride (remember that she too is a member of the "Family of Train Nuts"). She is 3 years old, and will be 4 in June. She was just fascinated by the ride, and I caught her many times in photos just staring out the open windows of the old rail car.
More train ride photos to come. But I have to share a "faux pas" that I made. We had to awake at 5:00 a.m. to drive to Palestine, TX in time to catch the train. So in my half asleep state, I just grabbed my good camera, and go to lens & put it in the car. I didn't want to deal with the bag that had all the extra lenses, batteries, etc.
So we get to Palestine, the kids start playing & I start taking photos. That's when I realized that the "good" camera had about 1/4 battery left. The good news was I had my point & shoot in the car, so I grabbed that. The good camera lasted about 50 shots before it died, but I had the point & shoot as back up.

Have a grand day today my friends! Thank you for your comments & critiques.
