Painting the Tiny Trailers
July 30, 2016
You've seen several photos from the "Tiny Trailer's Festival" held in Waxahachie, Texas. Along with the trailers, there were several artists there painting the trailers. This lady was kind enough to pose for me.
Notice the temporary awning and columns.....or little town is going through a massive renovation. The wonderful old buildings (mostly from the turn of the 20th century) that are around the town square that frames our wonderful courthouse (completed in 1897). James Michener in his book "Texas" describes the Ellis county courthouse as "A fairy-tale palace...replete with battlements, and turrets and spires ...and miniature castles high in the air...one of the finest buildings in Texas." Indeed, it is a jewel of a building that has been designated the 8th most outstanding architectural achievements in Texas. So it's nice to see that the surrounding buildings are getting new faces. We're starting to see new retail and restaurants coming back to downtown.
Thank you for your comments and critiques.
Have a beautiful day today my friends.
