"ETHEREAL SPANISH MOSS"
"If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed; if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of 100 years, teach the people." ~ Confucius
I intentionally posted this picture today; it was taken exactly a year ago.
Ethereal spanish moss drape gracefully from the trees and provide a hazy curtain to the landscape on one of several lawns at this historic college, which was named in honor of Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States. Historic Jefferson College, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was restored by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History in phases completed in 1977 and 1984. Portrayed as West Point Academy in the North and the South television series, Historic Jefferson College has been a popular film location-- for Horse Soldiers, Mistress of Paradise, and two versions of Huckleberry Finn. It is located approximately 7 miles from Natchez, MS.
I am appreciative of your kind comments regarding yesterday's "Think Pink" Challenge shoe post. There were some awesome submissions and I enjoyed perusing and commenting.
Have a marvelous Monday!
