"Snow was falling, so much like stars filling the dark trees that one could easily imagine its reason for being was nothing more than prettiness.” ~ Mary Oliver
Dusty Miller plants in the snow......
All of you (my SmugMug friends) know how badly I've wanted snow and how jealous (in a playful way) I've been when so many of you posted beautiful shots of snow in your area. Well, we got snow flurries last Thursday while I was at work and then snow the next night. When I awaken Saturday morning, there was still snow on rooftops and in the grass (as well as other areas around the city). I didn't taken many photos, but this is the very first one that I took while sitting at the drive-thru at one of our McDonald's restaurants. I just rolled the window down and snapped away.As the day progressed, it dissipated even more.
Although I thank God for granting my wish for snow, I still want more - at least enough to build a snowman - and I want it to last longer - at least to result in a day off work:). The good news is that the meteorologist has predicted more snow this week - woo hoo!
"D" day of Judy's (aka fotoeffects) "Alphabet Shapes" Challenge was so much fun; there were some amazing entries! Thanks for your comments on mine. Seeing the entire first page of the DPC full of various "D" shapes was a sight to behold.
I am ready for "E" day Sunday. Unfortunately, I still haven't found alphabet shapes for F, U, and Z, but when time permits, I will be on the hunt. SmugMuggers rock!!!!!
Have a marvelous Monday!
