Maroonhood Orchid [Pterostylis pedunculata]
Flowering time: July to October
Habitat: Fairly widespread from coast to foothills, in either open forest or closed forest sites in ferny gullies, absent from higher mountain areas.
Known sites: Freestone Creek, Clifton Creek, Moormurng and Colquhoun Forests, Raymond Island, Buchan, Tostaree, Orbost, Cann River, Wingan River, Genoa
Notes: A distinctive species which usually forms a colony consisting of a few dozen plants.
