Salvia argentea, Silver SAge is a broad, silvery gray, fuzzy leaf combining well with golden yellow Strawflowers. Both of these plants are annuals in Maine and are not winter hardy. They make lovely container flowers, though. Photo taken at Barley Joe's Greenhouse in Waldoboro, Maine. Barley Joes' closes after July 4th. It's worth a trip up the coast to visit them before that.
