Oceano, 7/29/2012, Oakland Metro Operahouse. I created a lightroom preset to salvage shots that are from way too dark venues. I call this preset 'Smooth Palladium' as the tone mimics old palladium prints but also compensates for noise that is getting out of hand when shooting at ISO 3200. Additionally the preset compensates for a heavy red color tint on the originals which is unfortunately very common in smaller music venues. Maybe red lights are cheaper than any other color?

Farrier working on shoes at night. New Jersey. I assume he is using a gas tungsten arc welder on an aluminum shoe. But that's just a guess. Whatever it is, makes beautiful sparks.
