The Roundhouse at Trainworks (formerly the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum), similar to several such buildings around the country which perform much the same function - providing efficient access to the workshops, without one locomotive getting in the way of another.

The turntable is from the former Enfield Steam Depot, and was relocated to Thirlmere in the late 1970s. It was moved to its current location in 2009.

The C3804, one of four experimental double-deck motor cars built by Tulloch Limited in 1968. These were the first fully double deck Electric Multiple Unit passenger trains in the world.

Withdrawn from service in February 2004.

The Thirlmere Rail Heritage Centre opened in 1975, and was formally re-opened as Trainworks in March 2011.
