gefillmore, I never saw the judges and wasn't told why it won:) It won first place in the 'other' (digitally altered) category. All I did was crop it (because a dark spot in the trees to the left was competing with the van), did auto levels I believe and the watercolor filter. It was a fuzzy rainy picture and looked prettier processed painterly, (Sherstone), rather than pixelly (new word?). It was traveling somewhere between Pennsylvania and Alabama (hope that narrows it down, George). I never saw the driver, and I took the pic through the windshield while speedily driving (riding) as hubby slows down for no photographer. That was fun, gefillmore, thanks for asking:)
* I've always liked the trees to the left of the pic. To me it looks as if a figure is looming there.
