Jun 14/13: A CP train is parked on the tracks in New Westminster, British Columbia, across from the Skytrain's New Westminster Station. New Westminster was incorporated in 1860 and a railway spur was built to here in 1886. Today, it is a busy rail centre with four major lines operating through here. The historic building that used to house the CPR Train Station was bought and converted into a Keg Restaurant in the late 1990s but was shut down in January 2013 due to structural issues. The Skytrain's station, just a few feet away from the original train station, was opened in 1985 for Expo '86 as part of the Lower Mainland's new elevated rapid transit transportation system.
