The short periods of snow and very cold weather in between the longer warm spells are keeping Prairie Creek flowing while at the same time maintaining an ice sheet around the creek where the snow accumulates. This evening the temperature with the wind chill was 9 and although it was pretty cold it was refreshing to be out and hear the water rushing over the waterfall at sunset.
