Tracey and I went to School 58 (K-7th grade) for the Spanish classes' annual Burrito Day lunch! You exchange your $1 for pesos, then go down the assembly line of kids who ask you what fillings you want in Spanish (including homemade tortillas, refried beans, beef, veggies, and more!).
To top it off, a healthy eating club was giving out exotic fruit skewers (papaya, mango, pineapple, and lime) and you got a sticker to place on large kid-illustrated posters to vote for your favorite.
PLUS! we bought candy from the PTA, and the library was having their Scholastic Book Fair! Best day EVER in elementary school, right?! Tracey bought me pencils shaped like drumsticks, and we picked over erasers, stickers, and bookmarks, too. It was pretty much the best lunch hour EVER.
