"CHANDELIER by Ed Pennebaker
"Much of my work with the glass shows its fluid qualities and its interaction with light. I derive inspiration from the garden and the woods surrounding my home and studio. The many seeds, buds, blooms, pods, and growing and developing plants and organisms continually amaze and inspire me. But I see no need to replicate nature, I prefer to interpret and reimagine. My latest sculptures deal with the natural environment and our relationship to our natural resources." ~ Ed Pennebaker
May, already? My goodness! Where did April go?
I'm thankful for color. I'm so grateful that I don't live in a black and white world. Of course, upon seeing this work of art, I assumed it was none other than the "maestro of hand blown glass,"- a title that I have bestowed upon Dale Chihuly. A nearby information card revealed otherwise - that this equally beautiful and eye-catching hanging chandelier is that of Arkansas native, Ed Pennebaker.
