Brothers Making Memories
April 19, 2015
Several weeks ago we drove two hours from home to catch a ride on the Texas State Railroad Steam train. It starts in Palestine, TX and you ride through the wonderful east Texas forests in the old rail cars. After about a 2 hour ride, you are in Rusk, Texas. There's a 1.5 hour break for the riders to have lunch. We always pack a picnic lunch to enjoy with the kids. It's a fun, fun time. Then we board the train again for the return 2 hour trip. We love this ride. Of course, I do have a whole family of train nuts, and I guess you can say they've converted me too.
This is a photo of oldest grandson Case (in the rear) and his younger brother Benjamin as they walked the rails while we were waiting to board the steam train. I applied a Topaz oil painting filter.
