While exploring Dali, I was drawn back to this watch tower over and over again. The town is full of ancient architecture and buildings but I always found myself wanting to shoot this one. Like most other places of historical significance I saw in this country, it is surrounded by brand new and futuristic architecture and technology. This was taken on Kangaroo Point, across the water from the CBD of Brisbane. Due to the low amount of light polution on this side of the river, on a clear night you can see a full sky of stars over the city. I don't recall ever going to another city where this is possible.
