To me, this picture is like a summary of the city. The skyscrapers in the background, the decrepit buildings, the overload of commercial signs, the waves of people, and this man collecting cardboards in the streets. He is isolated, in front of this scenery but, of course, part of it. He is like the symbol of all those small hard workers.
During this short trip in Hong Kong I walked the streets every day and night. The detailed texture and the atmosphere of the city really impressed me. I remember that I had the feeling to be able to let myself be carried away by the rhythms of the city and being able to feel its various rhythms. Hong Kong is a hard working city, full of life and I really appreciated the kind of "urban rurality" that I was feeling in the popular districts, the ones that I have been exploring the most.
