End of the Cycle
Visitors at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center can see many kinds of wildflowers in bloom this time of year. When the folks seen in the background here turn around, they'll see the first signs the Texas Bluebonnets (Lupinus texensis, AKA Bluebonnet, Texas lupine, Buffalo clover, Wolf-flower) are nearing the end of their blooming cycle. The blossoms are being replaced by pods of seeds for renewal next season. Shot with an Olympus E-M1 and M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO. Raw conversion in PictureCode Photo Ninja 1.2.5 via Lightroom 5.7. Post processing in Photoshop CC 2014 and Topaz Clarity.
