After placing wreaths on grave sites at the Essex County Veterans Cemetery near Wadhams, these folks are among many of those participating in the Wreaths Across America program pausing to say thanks and share their thoughts. A total of 60 wreaths were placed this holiday season, with Newman Tryon of the American Legion giving a brief history of Wreaths Across America and the Rev. David Sullivan of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church delivering an opening prayer, with more than three dozen veterans and family members taking part. To close the formalities, Kim Matthews performed “Amazing Grace” and Terry Lamb played taps.
