Early Morning in Virgin Falls State Natural Area
Virgin Falls in the Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Tennessee This falls is strange, in that it has no upstream or downstream portions to admire. The water for the falls emerges from an underground stream, then drops over a 110 foot cliff only to disappear into a sinkhole at the bottom of the falls. The whole area is honeycombed with caves and sinkholes.
