Hverfjall (or Hverfell) crater in Lake Myvatn area (Northern Iceland)
This crater is quite funny to climb, because the whole thing is quite soft and your feet constantly sink in the sand. It’s wise to have good (high) shoes, otherwise you’ll probably have a sandpit in there before you reach the top … and again when you descent.
But yeah, the fairly steep but short climb is worth it ! The views of the crater and the surounding area are amazing.
