Park City and Wasatch combated one another for the 3A state championship game Saturday, May 11 at the Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. The Park City Miners were upset by the Wasatch Wasps as they were defeated with a final score of 1-0. The match was more than just a test of skill and control of the soccer ball, but also of strength and endurance of a game full of aggression. Wasatch scored their first goal early in the game, and although they spent much time in the Miners territory, Park City defense was able to hold them from further goals.
