Dark Tree In The Limelight
Playing with the OM 90mm macro and the GH3. Wow. I'm coming to love this combo. Unlike my E-30, the screen on the GH3 brightens so I can focus with the lens closed down, something I couldn't do with the E-30. Nice. I think this is f8 This is some flox, btw. I couldn't resist the raindrops.
Amazing aurora borealis over a lake

This display was so amazing. I shot this with a 24 mm lens, and even with the wide-angle, could only capture a part of the arch. I tried doing some panoramas, but the Aurora was moving and dancing all the time, so Photoshop has trouble trying to line up the images!

This is Obed Lake, about 2 1/2 hours west of Edmonton, about 2 a.m.

Yeah, I've taken this shot before, but couldn't resist this little drenched beauty. I didn't adjust the color one bit - the richness and saturation out of the GH3 is pretty intense and it seems to get the color purple right by itself, with no adjustment needed from me. OM 90mm at probably f8 or 5.6. I also used the onboard flash to brighten up those droplets a bit. It still left the backlighting evident in the petals and so all I can say is wow.
