"A LONG WAY DOWN"

The Big Island, Hawaii

Partially obscured by clouds, this waterfall cascades nearly 2,000 feet down a very steep volcanic mountainside. It's hidden in the back of the famous and mysterious Waipio Valley, and is rarely seen by visitors since the trail to it -- which was not well-known to begin with -- was closed years ago.

The Foggy Road Through The Waterfalls to Milford There is a long tunnel through a mountain upon final approach to Milford Sound. The tunnel itself is unnerving because it is downhill. I’m not used to long tunnels going downhill. Anyway, after you get out, something new always awaits you. I’ve been through the tunnel 10 times now. 3 times there were clouds, and this was one of them. The good news is that the clouds mean rain, and the rain means waterfalls!- Trey RatcliffClick here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.
Templo Waterfall, the first falls in our hike. I have seen many waterfalls in Oregon, Hawaii & Colorado, but was so surprised at the amount of water and the speed of this falls in Costa Rica. This falls is 85 ft - mist was everywhere - hard to capture the beautiful!
