Shoot and Duck
This one... so many feelings.
One of the pictures on my About page shows where I was perched during this little adventure down Danger Lane. You wouldn't know it by looking at this, but I was standing on the edge of a massive ice shelf which had been forming for months. I thank Lake Superior for not swallowing me whole like it easily could have.
Sadly, I had to bump up my ISO to go handheld as I knew a tripod wouldn't ensure my camera's safety. The image suffers because of it but my ambition only strengthens. This is one of those that I'm sure I'll be trying to master for many years to come. If you hear me planning for this shot again, please remind me to take a poncho.
