Sea Otter "Enhydra litris" found at Point Defiance Zoo. The sea otter is the largest member of the weasel family and smallest of the marine mammals weighing in between 14 and 40kg. Spending almost all of its life in the cold Pacific Ocean it has developed the densest fun in the animal kingdom to keep it warm. Sea otters range from the Pacific coast of Japan to Russia, Alaska and down the Pacific coast of North America to the Baja California coast of Mexico.
